Awareness Campaign on Online Fraud by NFCC/NSRC in Collaboration with the Besut District Education Office & Besut District Police Headquarters

Terengganu, 8 May – The National Financial Crime Prevention Centre (NFCC) led the Awareness Campaign on Online Fraud in collaboration with the Besut District Education Office and the Besut District Police Headquarters, with support from the Terengganu State Police Headquarters (IPK Terengganu) and the Terengganu State Education Department (JPN Terengganu). The program was held at the SMK Tengku Mahmud Hall in Besut, Terengganu.

The event was attended by Mr. Ahmad Sazilee Abdul Khairi, Deputy Director-General of NFCC; Mr. Kamal @ Kamsah Mohamed, Deputy Director of Education, JPN Terengganu; and DSP Mohd Hanif bin Yusoff, Deputy Head of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID), IPK Terengganu, representing the Terengganu Chief of Police.

Participants included local school teachers, guidance counsellors, soon-to-be-retired educators, and retired teachers. A total of 300 participants attended the program. A forum session was also held as part of the campaign’s content to help ensure the program's objectives were met — namely, to educate participants about online fraud and to promote the 997 emergency hotline as a quick-response channel for fraud-related incidents.
