STRENGTHENING STRATEGIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN MACC AND NFCC IN COMBATING FINANCIAL CRIME

PUTRAJAYA, 3 July 2026 – The Director General of the National Anti-Financial Crime Centre (NFCC), Dato’ Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Dato’ Sri Abd Halim Aman, at the MACC Headquarters in Putrajaya. The meeting marked the first engagement between the Director General of NFCC and the Chief Commissioner of MACC since the latter’s appointment on 13 May 2026.

The meeting aimed to strengthen strategic cooperation between the two agencies in enhancing efforts to combat financial crime through data sharing, expertise and the utilisation of analytical technology.

Through this approach, intelligence capabilities can be enhanced through more comprehensive data analysis, thereby supporting more efficient and high-impact investigations. It also strengthens the effectiveness of integrated enforcement operations among relevant agencies in addressing various forms of financial crime.

This effort is also aligned with the Whole-of-Government approach, which emphasises cross-agency synergy and collaboration to ensure that the national enforcement system operates in a more coordinated, responsive and effective manner. The initiative is expected to strengthen the integrity of the national security framework while contributing positively to public well-being and confidence.
