Director General's Message

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Thank God for the successful establishment of a new government agency that functions as a financial crime prevention center which is a platform for cooperation and consensus among law enforcement agencies in the country. I would like to welcome you and thank you for visiting the official website of the National Anti-Financial Crime Center (NFCC).

The threat of financial crime at this time is arguably alarming. As a result of kleptocracy, the country loses billions of ringgit due to financial crimes such as corruption, money laundering, as well as income tax evasion, tax and customs duty evasion, smuggling of prohibited goods such as cigarettes and liquor, abuse of subsidies for goods such as LPG, diesel and cooking oil, and abuse of incentives tax in the duty-free zone. The country's reputation will be tarnished if the country ignores or fails to deal with financial crime and cross-border crime.

Financial crimes that are increasingly complex and dynamic in the digital era and advanced technology, including cyber crime, require more advanced and sophisticated capabilities, especially in the capacity of agency officials and the consolidation of efforts of enforcement agencies as well as the tools, methods, and instruments that are available.

Based on the Government's commitment, the National Anti-Financial Crime Center (NFCC) Bill (RUU) was approved by the Cabinet on 2 October 2019. The presentation of the first reading of the NFCC Bill in the House Of Representative was made on 8 October and on 10 October 2019 for the second reading.

The NFCC will function as a strategic and holistic platform at the national and international level in line with the manifestation and commitment of the government in dealing with financial crime today. It is hoped that this effort will receive the support of all law enforcement agencies and the MALAYSIAN PEOPLE.

Welcome to the NFCC Portal.

Thank you.
