COURTESY VISIT TO THE MALAYSIAN COMMUNICATIONS AND MULTIMEDIA COMMISSION (MCMC) SABAH REGIONAL OFFICE

KOTA KINABALU, SABAH, 2–3 July 2026 – The National Anti-Financial Crime Centre (NFCC) conducted a working visit to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, led by YBrs. Tuan Ahmad Sazilee bin Abdul Khairi, Deputy Director General of NFCC, together with senior NFCC officers.

The working visit commenced with a courtesy visit to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Sabah Regional Office on 2 July 2026, where the delegation was received by the Deputy Director of MCMC Sabah Regional Office, Richard Diaz. The meeting discussed various issues relating to financial crime, particularly scams, while exploring potential strategic collaboration between NFCC and MCMC Sabah in strengthening prevention efforts and raising public awareness of financial fraud.

NFCC also paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Kota Kinabalu City, YBhg. Dato’ Sri Dr. Haji Sabin bin Samitah, to discuss the implementation of financial crime awareness programmes in collaboration with the Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK), which has been a strategic partner of NFCC since 2024.

The visit reflected NFCC’s continued commitment to strengthening strategic collaboration with agencies and local authorities to enhance public awareness and further strengthen efforts to combat financial crime.
