SELAMAT PAGI MALAYSIA (SPM) PROGRAM TITLED “FINANCIAL CRIME ADVOCACY: THE ROLE OF NFCC AND REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCES”

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 June 2026 – The Selamat Pagi Malaysia (SPM) programme, titled “Financial Crime Advocacy: The Role of NFCC and Real-Life Experiences”, was broadcast live on TV1, Berita RTM, RTMKlik and MYTV Broadcasting to raise public awareness of the threats posed by financial crimes.

The programme featured YBhg. Dato’ Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil, Director General of the National Anti-Financial Crime Centre (NFCC), who elaborated on NFCC’s role in financial crime prevention, education and advocacy.

The programme also featured the real-life experience of a scam victim, providing insights into scammers’ modus operandi and the preventive measures that members of the public can take to protect themselves.

The programme emphasised the importance of financial literacy, vigilance towards suspicious offers, and the need to verify information through official channels before carrying out any financial transactions.
